CHANGE IMPERIAL DRAWING TO METRIC AND METRIC TO IMPERIAL IN AUTO CAD (Part-1)

Image
CHANGE IMPERIAL DRAWING TO METRIC AND METRIC TO IMPERIAL IN AUTO CAD (Part-1) In Auto Cad we do Engineering drawing. Engineering is strictly specified with units and scale factor. Mostly we use Imperial or Metric unit But sometime we want to change the unit type of whole drawing sheet in Imperial to Metric or Metric to Imperial. Here the problem starts. There are two ways to solve the problem 1. Draw the whole sheet again with new change units. Its ok for extreme small drawing or who don't know the trick method. And 2. Understanding the trick which I explain. I divided this blog in two parts for better understanding this is Part-1. Here   I explain the way to  CHANGE IMPERIAL DRAWING TO METRIC. In Part-2, I explain how to  CHANGE METRIC DRAWING TO IMPERIAL. So lets start. CHANGE IMPERIAL DRAWING TO METRIC. We know that 1 inch is equal to 25.4 mm. That means the length of 1 inch line in 25.4 times bigger than the line of 1 mm. This is the Concept We apply. If  I want

PROPER WAY TO PAGE SETUP IN AUTOCAD

Image
PROPER WAY TO PAGE SETUP IN AUTOCAD AUTOCAD is a popular software for Engineering drawings. But somehow for beginners they faced a problem about page setup and thus their drawings gets a wrong way. In this blog I will give a pictorial tutorial about Autocad page setup. Hope you all enjoy it. Lets start. Process Step 1. Open Autocad Step 2. In Command Bar Type "startup" and hit enter Step 3. Change new value "0" to "1" Step 4. Close Auto cad and reopened it. Step 5. Now a startup dialog box opened Step 6. Here select Default unit type. Imperial or Metric.             Hit OK button, Close it and reopened it. Step 7. Next go to next tab "Use a Template" Step 8. For Imperial drawing Units choose "Acad.dwt".                           For Metric drawing Units choose "Acadiso.dwt".                          Hit OK button, Close it and reopened it. Step 9. Now go t

STAIR CASE DETAILS

Image
STAIR CASE DETAILS Stair is sets of steps which allow us to move basically from one floor to another floor. It is a essential part of building mostly constructed inside home. In this blog I will give a clear over view about stair. First of all we need to know the technical term of stair part. PARTS 1. Trade :- Trade is the horizontal portion of a step where we can stand. 2. Riser :- Riser is the vertical distance between two steps. 3. Flight :- Inclined Plane with no of steps allow some vertical distance. 4. Landing :- A platform for rest or change direction, stated end and starting point of a flight. 5. Waist :- The thickness of flight without steps is called waist. 6. Handrail :- The holding rail allover the stair is called handrail. 7. Run :- The length of stair in horizontal plane is called run. 8. Pitch :- The slope of stair is called pitch CLASSIFICATION OF STAIR   Stair are classified as per their design in various type. A

BUILDING DRAWING PARAMETERS

Image
BUILDING DRAWING PARAMETERS  Building drawing parameter is a topic where we specify the proper dimensions of building parts. From the starting of civilization a basic and fundamental need is home. So here I tried to explain about this parameter in a proper way. Here I explain only the standard type of building parameter.  First of all we need to know the parts of building. A building consist Bed Room,Drawing Room, Kitchen,Toilet,Stair case, Veranda etc. STANDARD DIMENSION OF ROOM Standard Bed Room - 3000 x 3600 mm Drawing Room - 3000 x 3000 mm Kitchen - 2100 x 3000 mm Toilet - 1800 x 2400 Veranda width - 1200 to 1500 mm Stair case - Normal Dog leg - 2100 x 3300 Stair trade - 250 mm Rise 150 mm Landing width - 900 mm. This is in to in measurements of such description. Now some technical specifications elaborate below. FOUNDATION 1.Column Foundation:- Pit Cutting or Earth work in excavation - 1200 mm x 1200 mm x 1200 mm. Base - 1

REINFORCEMENT OR BAR WEIGHT CALCULATION

Image
REINFORCEMENT OR BAR WEIGHT CALCULATION This is the era of Reinforced Cement Concrete structure. Reinforcement or Bars are used in Concrete Structure to provide extra strength in Structure. Ordinary Cement concrete is good for withstanding Compressive stress but fails in Tensile stress. To withstand this tensile stress we embedded Reinforcement or Bar in Ordinary Cement concrete. This type of concrete is called Reinforced Cement Concrete. Reinforcements are made of steel (not pure) with round shaped with specific diameter with ribs in body. We identify or named reinforcements with their specific diameter (i.e.8mm bar/10mm bar etc). As per IS- 1786.2008 Nominal Size or specific diameter of bars are 4mm, 5mm, 6mm, 8mm, 10mm, 12mm, 16mm, 20mm, 25mm, 28mm, 32mm, 36mm & 40mm . We use this bar as pre design specification. Naturally length of a single bar is 12-13m. But our motive is to calculate the weight of bar per meter length. Calculation We know density of steel
